I am certain that you would like to come off the electricity grid. Who would not like to put a stop to those growing monthly bills? The problem is that no one is stepping up to the plate to tell us how to do it. Politicians are just starting to ring the alarm bells even though they have known about the predicted oil shortage for decades – just as we all have.

Electricity created from wind powered turbines is one of the most prevalent forms of energy from alternative sources and it is the fastest-growing variety too. Wind turbines are turned by the natural strength of the wind, so make electricity without ‘burning up’ any fossil fuels in the procedure. The faster (harder) the wind gusts, the more electricity is produced.

It has been recognised for many years now that resources we have on earth to give energy to many appliances and devices is something that will not last forever. The population is growing and this has meant that the resources will last even less time than originally thought and run out in perhaps our lifetimes or at the very least that of our children. So that we can continue to enjoy heating and the technologies that need energy to make them work another option is to use solar panels.
