Wind power generators are now able to capture and convert wind into energy that can be used to fuel one’s home or place of business. When people think about such a device, they customarily think of a mill or turbine, which takes wind power and converts it into electricity. As the prices of oil continue to rise and become unaffordable, alternative energies are starting to garner lots of attention and with sound reason. Because the United States does not have lots of oil on our soil, we are at the beck and call of other nations and we aren’t ready to control oil prices or supply.

The problem is that no one is stepping up to the plate to tell us how to do it. Politicians are just starting to ring the alarm bells even though they have known about the predicted oil shortage for decades – just as we all have.

Electricity created from wind powered turbines is one of the most prevalent forms of energy from alternative sources and it is the fastest-growing variety too. Wind turbines are turned by the natural strength of the wind, so make electricity without ‘burning up’ any fossil fuels in the procedure. The faster (harder) the wind gusts, the more electricity is produced.
